Where is
John Day, Oregon?
John Day,
Oregon is located in the center of eastern Oregon, 150 miles east
of Bend and 80 miles southwest of Baker City. It is situated at 3085'
elevation on the banks of the scenic John Day River, and shadowed by
the 8,000-9,000' Strawberry Wilderness. Summer climate is pleasant
with low humidity and cool nights. Average daily July lows and highs
are 48.6 and 87.9 degrees. Average monthly precipitation for July is
.53". Area accommodations in Grant County are plentiful. Early
reservations are recommended, as July is tourist season! For more
