ODOE logoOregon Department of Energy (ODOE)

The Oregon Department of Energy supports EORenew with assistance for our education and outreach program. ODOE funding allows us to send newsletters to those in our area who received an Oregon Tax Credit for Renewable Energy, and supports our program of renewable energy education. And as always, we appreciate ODOE’s support for SolWest!

Thanks to Kettle Foods for the donation of Kettle chips brand Potato Chips for our volunteers.

SolWest is pleased to announce that our 2007 event is powered by renewable energy. Pacific Power is sponsoring Solwest with 2,000 kwh of Blue Sky renewable energy from Solar facilities throughout Oregon (inlcuding EORenew’s own fairgrounds system!). The Blue Sky energy used at this event offsets 4,000 pounds of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere and is supporting Oregon's economy.

The Energy Independence Sol-utions is a quarterly newsletter of: Eastern Oregon Renewable Energies Non-profit Corporation, PO Box 485, Canyon City, OR 97820 (office at 150 E Main, John Day). Phone 541-575-3633, Email: info@solwest.org, web: www.solwest.org. EORenew is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

Our goal is to empower people to increase their energy efficiency and use of solar, wind and other renewables.
