Bus Service to John Day, Oregon The Grant County People Mover runs bus service from John Day westbound to Bend on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning. Eastbound trips from Bend to John Day run M-W-F, late afternoon. The People Mover schedule coordinates with the Central Oregon Breeze to Portland; and the Valley Retriever/Porter Stage Lines to Salem, Corvallis, Eugene, Newport, and Coos Bay. The People Mover also serves the Redmond airport (reservations must be made for a pickup stop). Advance reservations recommended on all buses (and especially to let the People Mover know which bus you'll be transferring from).
